Anger Management
When you lose it, do heads roll or does furniture fly? Anger patterns can be destructive with behaviors like inappropriate outbursts, "boiling over", blaming, temper tantrums, or hostile communication. Learn to flip the switch to transform the reaction into a productive action.
At its core, anger is a launch pad towards productivity. Many athletes will tell you that anger assists their performance - if directed. Anger is a wake-up call: something needs to be said or something needs to be done. When directed towards people, it can be demoralizing and damaging. When directed toward a target, it can be a powerful tool.
A 1/2-1 day workshop can be designed around the existing patterns that need to be redirected, such as:
- Turning blame, criticism and defense into discovery
- Learning a 3-step communication model that channels anger into focused outcomes
- Finding "open" when we're "closed"
- Finding balanced thought when feeling out of control
- Identifying strategies for re-establishing or rebuilding connections with target people or situations
- Practicing and integrating new tools and awareness to channel anger toward productivity
- Learning 2 focus tools to assist future potential anger circumstances
